Unit Information

Documentaries and News focuses on developing your ability to create and analyse non-fiction media. You will view, listen to and analyse interesting and relevant media texts and investigate ways to create meaning by producing your own news reports and short documentary productions using a range of audiovisual equipment and professional computer software.

You will analyse the way 21st Century technology has implicated the way we access news media and the influence it has on Australian society, and examine the process of representation and the way values are constructed in media works. You will also analyse your own and others’ experiences with media by looking at ways an audience can be persuaded by producers of media.
