Unit Information

This course is sure to challenge both intermediate and beginning graphic designers. You will work through a series of exciting projects which reflect current graphic design trends and techniques used by design professionals. Projects and activities will incorporate digital drawing, manipulation of images, hand sketching and illustration. There will also be an introduction to the ‘digital darkroom’ – editing and managing images using the Adobe Creative Suite.

You will discover your creative potential through hand-made and computer-generated imagery. Artistic and functional design concepts will be explored along with planning and managing layouts specific to industry standards. Use of imagination, creative teamwork and development of lateral thinking abilities are a focus.
