Robotics and automation is a rapidly growing industry and important for industrial, domestic and entertainment applications. This course is designed to promote problem solving, enterprise and initiative in a fun and practical environment. Students will learn the skills it takes to design, program and engineer practical solutions to solve realistic and challenging real-world problems.
Students will learn how to design and build complex robotic systems using programming languages such as Python, JavaScript and C++. Students will have opportunities to explore the BBC Micro:bit, getting students programming and coding their own minicomputer, and how to program drones to complete daily tasks. Students will then be challenged to create a personal project to solve an everyday problem that they face using the equipment they have developed their skills in.
