As the inaugural Year 7 Year Coordinator at Duncraig SHS, English and HASS HOLA at Clarkson CHS and English Leading Teacher at the College; Thomas has demonstrated he can provide effective leadership in a diverse range of educational settings. He prioritises building authentic professional learning communities; rigorous teaching, learning and assessment processes; and data driven decision making.

Thomas has strengthened his leadership acumen through achieving Level 3 Classroom Teacher status in 2017, completing the Masters of School Leadership degree at the University of Western Australia and the Growth Coaching International Accredited Coach qualification. In 2019, he was selected to join the Department of Education’s Leadership Strategy Advisory Group to review the implementation of the WA Public School Leadership Strategy 2018 – 2021.
