Domain Leader - Technologies
Nevena has three years’ experience delivering quality education to secondary students. She has experience in teaching various subjects across the college but has the most experience teaching Home Economics.
During her fourth year at Edith Cowan University, Nevena visited Joseph Banks Secondary College as a practicum student and then as part of a Scholar in Residence program. She had demonstrated passion and drive for teaching and shortly after graduating from Edith Cowan University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Secondary Education, she had joined our team as a permanent staff Member. Nevena has completed a major in, Home Economics and a minor in Health education, she has taken every opportunity to work with Leading staff and engage in Professional Learning to improve her teaching practice.
Nevena has a strong work ethic and is always working towards improving her teaching practice as well as relationships with her co-workers for the enrichment of our student’s education. She is a passionate and friendly individual who wanted to challenge herself and improve practice within the Technologies domain. Taking on this role, Nevena hopes to make a difference and positive impact at Joseph Banks Secondary College.
Nevena became a teacher because of her passion for influencing and guiding young minds as well as her love of cooking. She is a mother of one who holds the value of family and friends very close to her heart.
