Course Information

International Sports is an elective whereby you will be involved in a wide variety of sports that aren’t generally performed during general Physical Education. During the trimester, you will compete in such sports as: European Handball, Ultimate Frisbee, Gaelic Football, Indoor Soccer/Hockey and Gridiron (NFL). You will be assessed under the achievement standards identified by the Australian Curriculum. You will be challenged to extend your leadership skills, team building skills, resilience, co-operation and tactics/strategies through a variety of teacher and student led assessments and competitive play. You will also learn the basic Human Anatomy, Periodisation and Skill Acquisition in relation to each sporting context. If you want to experience a wide variety of non- traditional sports in a different context, then International Sports is an elective to consider.
