Year 9 Electronics is an introduction to electrical and electronics concepts. You will learn basic soldering techniques and how electronic components, such as batteries, resistors, light emitting diodes (LEDs) and switches are put together to make an electronic circuit. Construction of electronic circuitry will begin on a “bread board” and then advance to a printed circuit board. Year 9 Electronics will provide you with an excellent foundation for integrated Electronics courses in Year 10. The skills and competencies gathered in Year 9 will also assist you in understanding whether a pathway in the electronics field or electrical trades may be suitable for you.
