Luke has been part of Joseph Banks Secondary College since 2018 and has spent every year looking to learn something new about teaching and how to educate students. He is passionate about student-centred learning, with the incorporation of 21st century skills into all teaching aspects.

In 2020, Luke was involved in bringing the CoRE program to the college, working to develop students’ collaboration and communication. This was the start in developing his interest in leadership and working to improve the capacity for teachers to improve student outcomes.

Becoming a Leading teacher of a middle school community has allowed Luke to emphasise his organisational and strategic skills in a new way. He is dedicated to working with teachers, students and their families to get the students’ best futures started.
