Principal's Welcome
Thank you for choosing Joseph Banks Secondary College for your child’s secondary education. Whether you are a new or existing family we are confident that as a school community we will provide multiple opportunities for your child to achieve success in an innovative learning environment. Welcome to our College Community.
In preparation for the coming school year, our online welcome pack is available to assist in the transition of your child to the next year of school. In the interest of sustainability, hard copies will not be posted home. We do have a few printed copies in the office, so you are welcome to come into Main Reception if you would like a copy.
Key Dates
End of Term 4 2023, Start of Term 1 2024
Please note the last day of school for students is Thursday 14 December 2023. The first day of school for students is Wednesday 31 January 2024.
2024 will be a very busy year for our Year 12 students. Information with key dates on the Ball and Presentation Evening will be communicated to parents at the beginning of the school year.
Office Hours over the School Holidays
Please note that Joseph Banks Secondary College will close on Friday 15 December 2023 at 3.00pm and will reopen on Wednesday 24 January 2024 at 8.00am (closed for Australia Day – 26 January 2024). Regular office hours are Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.00pm.

It is important that families ensure they are familiar with the information contained within all of the listed pages.
Student Timetables
Student timetables are expected to be released in late January of 2024.
BYOD Portal
Families that are purchasing a new device for their young person for 2024 are invited to access discounted pricing through our BYOD Portal. Click the icon for more information.
School Starts
All students start the 2024 school year on Wednesday 31 January 2024 at 8:50am. Families will be advised by the College of the location students should meet on day one in late January through Social Media and eMail.
