The Year 9 Dance elective is designed to provide students with the opportunity to explore and develop their creative, expressive, and technical abilities in dance. Students will develop an understanding of dance as an art form, and explore a range of dance styles, techniques, and genres. Throughout this elective, students will also develop skills in communication, teamwork, and self-discipline, as well as physical fitness and coordination. Students may choose from a variety of genres including contemporary, hip hop, street dance, and cultural dances, for example, Spanish, Indian, and Bollywood.
