Course Information

Are you somebody who is interested in the world of health and fitness? Do you see yourself as somebody who wants to work in the Personal Training sector? Do you see yourself studying Sports Science at a university level? Sports Science A will delve into the world of Sports Science and look at how it impacts upon both athletes and the everyday individual. Through both practical and theoretical components of this course we will look at how the body works and what is required for the body and brain to work at its best in a physical capacity.

The course will explore rich content including:

  • Developing physical skills and tactics (Badminton)
  • Functional anatomy
  • Exercise physiology

 

This will include learning about the different bones, muscles, heart and lung structures and how they function in relation to physical activity.
