Course Information

Advertising and Music Videos focuses on developing your knowledge and understanding of marketing and advertising and in this course you will view, listen to and analyse interesting and relevant media texts. You will consider how the cultural experiences of audiences influence their response to media and how media works are shaped by popular culture, stereotypes and the production context. You will analyse your own and others’ experiences with media by looking at the way an audience can be persuaded by the producers of media. Projects include creating a magazine advertisement, a television advertisement, and collaboration with Year 10 Music students to create an original music video.
