Course Information
Do you have a passion for Science? Are you wanting to explore the vast array of opportunities for young people in STEAM?
Aspirant Young Scientists is a course designed to encourage young people to consider a career in STEAM when they leave Joseph Banks Secondary College. With workplaces and universities trying to encourage many young people to consider a career in STEAM, this course will give you an advantage over other students and expose you to laboratories and workplaces unseen by students your age. As a part of this course, you will get the opportunity to visit universities and industries, complete a wide range of hands-on activities and project-based learning opportunities, pave a pathway towards a career as an engineer, nurse, chemist, physicist or forensic scientists (just to name a few). You will also have the opportunity to work in the new Western Australian Space Science Education Centre (WASSEC) to broaden your horizons in a career in STEAM.
