Course Information

Throughout history the biggest executioner of the human race has been deadly disease.

Whether it was the Black Death in 14th century Europe or more recently COVID 19, the loss of human life and cost to society has been astronomical. With a strong emphasis on analysing and evaluating evidence as well as the ability to explain different perspectives, this elective examines the causes and effects of deadly diseases throughout history.

This course looks at analysing evidence of the history of medicine and is a great choice of subject if you are interested in studying Modern History in Years 11 and 12.
