This course explores how people form connections to places, how geography shapes identity and culture, and how traditional and modern land management practices reflect different worldviews.
In this course, you will examine diverse environments through mapping, storytelling, and case studies – with a focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge systems, land use, and care for Country. Global comparisons will encourage you to appreciate cultural geography in both local and international contexts.
This course is a great pathway for students considering studying Geography: Environmental Change or First Nations Geography in a Changing World in Year 10 and Aboriginal and Intercultural Studies and Geography in Year 11 and 12.
