Course Information

In this course you will continue with the safe use of machines already covered in Year 9 and will be exposed to new machinery, including taper turning solid steel bar on the metalwork lathe, oxy acetylene cutting steel plate, mig welding complex shapes and removing waste with a pedestal grinder. All projects will be delivered around a design process (problem solving) approach. Projects include a sheet metal project, a mild steel welding project, and a design project of your choice.
