Course Information
Do you love adventure and the great outdoors? Are you ready to challenge yourself with exciting activities while developing valuable survival and teamwork skills? This hands-on course allows you to experience adventure through activities such as swimming, fishing, camp craft, kayaking, snorkelling, and expedition planning.
Beyond the thrill of outdoor activities, you will learn how to assess risks, build resilience, and make smart decisions in challenging environments. The course will culminate in an exciting outdoor expedition, where you will put your skills to the test in real-life situations—setting up camp, cooking outdoors, navigating waterways, and working as a team to overcome challenges.
To enrol, you must be able to swim 200m continuously and tread water for 15 minutes.
This course is the perfect foundation for students interested in Outdoor Education in Year 11.
Students can only select one Physical Recreation Course (Land or Water) in Year 10, however the other course can be chosen as a reserve option.
