The Media Academy is an exciting program where imagination meets technology and creativity knows no bounds! Get ready to unleash your passion for media as you dive into the exciting world of film, television, and digital media.
Our academy is designed to develop essential skills and knowledge in media. You’ll learn about film production, scriptwriting, video editing, sound design, and digital media, giving you a comprehensive understanding of the media industry.
Teachers will guide you through each step of your media journey, helping you to develop your skills and explore your own unique creative style. You will have access to the latest equipment, from cameras and microphones to editing software and green screens, giving you the tools, you need to bring your ideas to life.
Our media productions are held to the highest standards, allowing you to gain real-world experience and produce work that you can be proud of. You will also participate in film festivals, competitions, and community events, giving you the chance to showcase your talent and creativity to the world.
The Media Academy leads into specific Media Genre studies in Year 10, and Year 11 and 12 Media Production and Analysis courses.
Additionally, students will be required to participate in at least one co-curricular opportunity within the Arts. This could include participation in activities such as: The College Band and/or ensembles, choir, musicals and productions, presentations, performances or exhibitions, Cheer team training and competitions or the Visual Arts club to name a few. Co- curricular programs and commitment will be discussed with students at the beginning of the school year.
