Course Information

Students will continue the safe use of machines already covered in Year 9 and will be exposed to new machinery, including faceplate turning a bowl on the wood lathe, sharpening a chisel on the sharpening machine and routering various edge profiles. All projects will be delivered around a design process (problem solving) approach. Projects include a pine corner shelf, a rocking toy that toddlers can ride in and a laminated wooden bowl made from multiple pieces of timber.
