STEAM Club

STEAM Club
STEAM Club is an after-school club which encourages students to participate in a range of projects that incorporate Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics.

In STEAM Club in 2020, our students embarked on the Space in Schools competition. During the Space in Schools project, students had to form a virtual design company and make a bid for the design of the Bio-Medical Space Hub on Mars. They had to build a 3D model of the Space Hub and then present their design ideas to a team of industry judges In doing so they also had excursions to the Scitech Planetarium, Curtin University’s Space Science and Technology Centre and the Gravity Discovery Centre at Gin Gin.

This STEAM project gave students a chance to develop their teamwork, project management skills, collaboration, design skills and problem solving.

In 2021, STEAM Club will continue, and students will be encouraged to engage several different highly engaging STEAM projects.
