This introductory robotics elective is designed to promote your problem solving and enterprise skills as you collaboratively build robots to fit a range of purposes.

3D Design and Engineering: Formula 1 in Schools Technology and Engineering Challenge

If you select to participate in the F1 in School Technology Challenge you will work in small project teams to design a F1 model race car made from balsa wood using CAD software and then manufacture your car on a CNC router to race against other schools in Western Australia and potentially against other schools around Australia in the National Finals.

Metalwork

In this elective you will be familiarised with a variety of new machines and their safe use, including cold sawing metal profiles to length, MIG welding solid steel together, removing waste with an angle grinder and hot forming steel shapes with the oxy acetylene hand piece.

Woodwork

In this elective students will be familiarised with a variety of new machines and their safe use, including between centres turning on the wood lathe, band sawing curves, plate joining various pieces of timber and routering various edge profiles.

Jewellery

This elective will introduce you to the processes involved in creating your very own jewellery and covers important workshop safety considerations.

Web Design Basics

In this elective you will learn to create and maintain fast, secure web pages from beginning to end.

International Foods

In this elective you will go on an international cultural journey and explore a range of traditional cuisines.
