Leading Teacher - STEAM

Zoe is an enthusiastic and committed educator and leader who is passionate about providing students with a range of opportunities to explore their future pathways and career goals.

Her career in education started in 2017 as a Physical Education teacher, before arriving at Joseph Banks Secondary College in 2020. Zoe spent two years teaching PE in London, England and exploring the world and in March 2020, she decided to step outside her comfort zone and dive into the world of Digital Technologies at Joseph Banks Secondary College. She has since developed a passion for Cyber Security which has led to her completing further tertiary study in the field of Cyber Security and Digital Law.

Zoe’s passion for STEAM and Digital Technologies education has led to her being awarded the Women in Technology WA – STEM/STEAM/Digital Education in Schools Rising Star Award in 2022 and she was a finalist in the 2023 WA Cyber Awards for Cyber Security Educator of the Year.

Zoe regularly contributes to the communities around her, leading professional learning opportunities for staff within the College and the wider system, providing opportunities that aim to support and develop educators with the way they use and implement technology within the classroom.

Zoe is enthusiastic about outside the box thinking and developing these skills within educators to support students in developing the 21st Century skills required to be successful on their personalised pathways.
